A collective exhibition by Luxembourg artists Nina Berzigani (collages) and Estelle Lichtenberger-Froehling (collages & assemblages) presenting their recent works.
Info
Nina Berzigani creates collages by reassembling and repainting torn pieces of paper to form something new and complete.
After graduating from graphic arts school, Nina Bezirgani worked in various advertising agencies and is an art director. Since 2019, it has been offering creative workshops for (young) adults under the name NinkkaStudio. Nina about herself and her work: I would describe myself as a mixed media artist. I like to experiment with different techniques, without any goal, and see what comes out. This curious, non-goal-oriented work I would like to bring to people, because our lives are already goal-oriented and structured enough :-)
Estelle Lichtenberger-Froehling’s artistic work falls within the realm of collage and assemblage, where she breathes new life into old materials: forgotten photographs, worn papers, handwritten letters, torn textiles. These fragments of the past – often considered worthless – are silent treasures to her. She collects them with care, guided by a sensitivity to the ephemeral, the worn and the invisible stories they carry within them. In her compositions, Estelle assembles these elements in an intuitive, poetic and sometimes fragile way. Each work becomes a space for memory and reverie, an attempt to hold on to what is disappearing.
The self-taught artist likes to explore textures, layers, traces of time – and create links between the past and the present through simple, almost meditative gestures.
