Jeanne and Arthur meet on a dance floor… Arthur spills his glass of wine over Jeanne, and magic takes hold. The beginning of a passionate and deeply connected relationship, until the day Jeanne asks Arthur to go and buy milk and stamps. That day, everything changes…

For this couple in their thirties, confronted with Alzheimer’s disease, it is not only memories that fade away, but also shared dreams and projects that will never come to life. The future, normally associated with growth and building a life together, collapses.

The play also confronts us with the fragility of human existence and invites deeper reflection on our personal identity. If self-awareness and memory are what make us human, if memories define and shape us, who are we without them?

To love also means sharing the simple things of everyday life, dreaming together… How can we love when all of this falls apart and words begin to disappear?

Oublie-moi is a true ode to love. The play’s lightness and humour almost make us forget the pain of loving someone whose body remains present, while their mind has begun to slip away.
