In SPLASH!, an interactive performance combining music and theatre, water takes centre stage: water as a source of life, associated with natural power, beauty and fascination, but also simply with joy and sensory experience. The production also explores the ways in which we sometimes take this precious resource for granted - an issue deeply connected to our own story. The performing musicians create diverse sound worlds and invite children and adults to explore, through interactive play, their own personal and cultural memories of water.

SPLASH! is a cooperation between the Theater Marabu, the Beethovenfest Bonn, the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen, the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and the Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

SPLASH! is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media as part of the programme JupiterDarstellende Künste für junges Publikum of the Kulturstiftung des Bundes.
