The album Rise and Shine presents guitarist Veda Bartringer in a new and striking light. Inspired by film music, orchestral arrangements, and projects by artists such as Snarky Puppy and Petros Klampanis, Rise and Shine brings together seven original compositions that blend classical music and jazz, while placing storytelling at the heart of the music.

Each piece is conceived as a dialogue - between the immediacy of jazz and the elegance of classical music, between harmonic richness and melodic simplicity. The ensemble’s sound reveals a distinctive new voice within contemporary European jazz.

Musicians Laurent Peckels (bass), Julien Cuvelier (saxophone), and Maxime Magotteaux (drums) join Veda on this sonic journey.

The project was developed through a creative residency at the Regional Cultural Centre opderschmelz in Dudelange, where the album was recorded. Supported by the Centre opderschmelz and the Oeuvre Grand-Duchesse Charlotte, and presented in collaboration with KulturLX, the project stands as a testament to artistic collaboration and cultural exchange.

With: Veda Bartringer (guitar), Laurent Peckels (bass), Julien Cuvelier (saxophone) & Maxime Magotteaux (drums)
